why is there no international text or unicode support? I am unable to see any of the chinese text in my news feed! does it work for japanese text?

It's a great app, good work up there. Could be possible to add support for displaying the rest of Czech letters: ě š č ř ž ť ď ň ý ů or converting them to e s c r z t d n y u? The letters á í é ú ó are displayed correctly. I can see only "ern" instead of "černý" for example. Thanks a lot.

My Facebook account keeps saying "unable to login". I have resent the Facebook News Feed to the Chumby twice with no luck. I did have to change my Facebook password recently. Does that have anything to do with it and if so, how do I update it for the Chumby?

Why do i get totally different people on my chumby than I do on my facebook newsfeed page? I get someone I don't want on the chumby, but I have no way to stop it since it doesn't ever show on my regular facebook page - grrrrrr !

The only wizard I got was to state how long the app plays for -- not how to link it to my Facebook account.

Here are instructions on how to customize this app: Go to the "MY CHUMBY" menu at the top of this page and select "my channels". Then, in the "Select a channel to manage:" drop down menu, select the channel that contains this app. The page should then refresh with a list of apps in that channel. Find this app in the list, and click "customize". There should be a wizard that guides you through the rest of the process.

I've deleted and readded the Facebook apps -- I've gotten the samples and "update online" notes, but noway on my apparatus (Insignia Infocast) or Facebook itself to get them set up. Any advice?

Delete all FB apps from your tablet (looks like there has been a new app released vs patch). Reinstall from here. I can not seem to get this one to consistantly work but the FB Photos and Status Apps work.

Facebook widget doesn't show russian fonts :( Probably you don't use utf8 fonts, could you please fix it?

This widget was working really well about 2 weeks ago, when I first added it. But now it is only showing my friend's new picture uploads. I'm not getting the status updates I got when I first added it. Did something change?

@MSlafka -- thanks for the feedback. The setting should now persist (it will take a few minutes to reflect on the device) and the default is now 5 seconds. We created a new widget so that users who wanted just status could continue to use the status widget and those that want the full news feed (plus potentially more in the future) could use this one.

The adjustable time for the widget to display each status update is nice, but the setting resets itself every time the widget reloads, and the 30-second default is too long.

Excellent improvement over the already good "Facebook Status" widget. I have to wonder, though, why create a brand new widget instead of just making changes to the existing one?
