I've heard that back in the day, in the Portland, Oregon area - on X-mas day some local channel would broadcast LIVE a picture of the fire from Timberline lodge on Mt. Hood (the lodge in the Shining). There are these great big St. Bernard dogs that roam around the lodge, and apparently they'd stroll in front of the camera now and then. The dogs are still there, I have no idea if any station still broadcasts the fire, for some reason I doubt it. I really like this widget. I'd LOVE it if a dog surprised me and walked in front of the fire.

Whose fireplace is this anyways? The Prince of Wales? This thing is definitely big enough to accommodate St. Nick and a big old bag of toys.
