The problem is this: If you try to touch the buttons it is also intrepted as a move to this location command. That needs to be worked out so that the buttons don't do that. Very annoying but has potential.

Widget has the potential to be great unfortunately it caused me nothing but problems. It was slow, crashes the chumby almost everytime I tried to use it and interferes with my podcasts playing. The navigation arrows hardly ever work and the zoom setting does not save.

I'm having problems with the zoom setting not saving when I customize it.

Traffic would be a great addition! Either as a chumby on my desk at the office or in the car with a bridged WiMAX link.

Thanks ApoXX. Good tip about the center button! That will indeed solve my issue! Nice job.

@heyartlady You can double tap to zoom on this widget, you have to do it a little quickly but it works. Also, the button in the middle of the 4 position arrows will re-center you to the coordinates you have configured. I know what you mean with the zoom slider not staying centered though, the odd thing is it works just fine on the virtual Chumby. I'll publish the source if some other developers want to take a look at it. @McConnell I would also like the ability to see traffic. Right now, the widget is dependent on G Map (http://www.afcomponents.com/components/g_map/) which doesn't have this ability just yet. The component does support polylines, so maybe it would be possible to manually overlay traffic.

I LOVE this, but have a question. I customized mine and got the correct area and when I tried to zoom in, it did not stay on the default teardrop indicator as it does in the sample. It went half a state over and then I couldn't find my way back. Am I doing something wrong and how can I zoom in on an area and have it zoom to the same center? In googlemaps, for instance, you can double click on an area and it centers and zooms on that spot. I gave up finding my closeup last night, but LOVE the possibilities. Thanks!
