    @ShadowDragoonFTW - Yup, that is correct, this is to teach the Japanese hiragana and katakana characters. It is intended for folks just learning to read and/or write japanese who would like a simple widget to view the English phonetic equivalent of the characters.

    Nice and all, but this only teaches the letters, not their use... I suppose if you learned Japanese words phonetically, this would help learn the proper "spelling", but still...

    How about a generic Flash card based on this widget. I am learning Thai and would like to adapt this for Thai letters.
