The reason that this widget is not available on the Sony dash is that Sony has an exclusive arrangement with another weather provider, and that arrangement prevents other weather widgets from being offered.

So why does this app say that it's no longer available on the dash yet it works just fine on my Chumby One?

The weather for 85048 is always wrong. 85048 is a zipcode in the Phoenix area, but the weather displayed seems to be for somewhere in northern AZ (eg, 10 to 15 degrees cooler)

Same for me, stuck on Wednesday and current weather hasn't changed all day.

Today it's stuck again, displaying yesterday's weather (Wed 9/28 instead of Thu 9/29/11).

Stuck since last Thursday as others have commented. Sorry to have to get rid of it, but it is useless now. Please fix, ASAP!!!!

Same issue here for Northern Cal.

Ours also not updating. Tried another (far away) zip code - same thing.

Anybody having update problems? Mine stopped updating on 9/22/11 for 39211 zip. The main weather still shows Thursdays temp.

I was wrong about the ads only being on the Default Channel. The previous posters were right, the ads do seem to be attached to this app.
bobsz

I think the adds may just have been tacked on by Chumby on the default channel, not from the app itself. Chumby admits they may put ads on your default channel. I put the NOAA app on another channel, and no more ads. (So far, anyway.)

Started to display advertisements. Deleted.

Started displaying ads. Deleted immediately. Too bad. I liked this app.

Fails to show the correct city for my zip code. It might be pulling it's data from the following site: http://www.mongabay.com/igapo/ When there are multiple cities in a single zip code, it shows the first one alphabetically.

I have to agree, the app stinks. it's currently about 19 outside here in dallas, snowy/icy, and the app says it's 35 with light rain. wtf? the forecast seems to be ok, but the current conditions are being read from the wrong place on the net. *thumbs down*

Mediocre widget. Temperatures seem hours behind and really miss my weather radar.
gregmwc
– January 16, 2011
I used this to show the temp in the middle of the night, it worked fine during the day. At night it stopped reporting the correct temp, it showed it was 45 degree's outside, and it was actually 29. I switched to Accuweather

It only supports U.S. That's why I don't like it.What about the other world?

NOAA stands for National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration and is part of the US Department of Commerce. It contains the US Weather Service (among many other services) and therefore provides weather information for the US. Maybe the app's title was recently changed to reflect this (I'm not sure whether it always contain US or not). This app still does not seem to provide up-to-date temperatures for the given location, even though interference from the rogue satellite is no longer an issue (the rogue satellite is now back under control). So I'm still using other apps in lieu of this one.

useless: just shows weather for the united states. when will all the other countries be supported?

This new app stinks. It is reporting that it is 27 F in Atlanta now and it is over 40. Removing it now.

The old default weather app was replaced by this US-Only version. I had no weather radar on the old one for my region, but at least it worked. This one doesn't, so I had to remove it. Still looking for a really good one.

The weather consistently seems to be about 2 hours late for my area (78703). It's very frustrating, and I've uninstalled the app after trying to work with it for a week. The old Weather Channel app was excellent, and I'm very sad to see it go.

Great app; NOAA is my go-to source for weather forecasts. But why only show the day forecasts? Maybe include option to display night forecasts as well?
dmaxwell
– December 9, 2010
Yes, this is a problem at NOAA - believe it or not, there's a rogue satellite (Galaxy 15) that's messing up NOAA's satellite (SES-1), so you can expect very spotty information through the rest of 2010. See: http://wattsupwiththat.com/2010/12/06/zombie-satellite-shuts-down-critical-noaa-nws-systems-overnight/

The weather has not update forecast since Saturday, currently, it is not working
sultnwoz

It's broke again. It hasn't updated the weather for Cleveland, Ohio for two weeks or more. Worse yet, some other apps, like the LOCAL app, are deriving from the stuck feed.
joey
– February 23, 2010
Yeah busted again for me two. It's been working fine after the update in late 2007.
harmlessgryphon
– February 21, 2010
This seems to be partially broken - It's been showing the correct forecast for the last week, but the temp/press/humidity hasn't changed for some time.

Any way to add the current time to this great widget? Love it, but I use the Chumby as my main clock when I'm getting ready for work, and need the current time showing on all my widgets.
MSlafka

I knew that as soon as I commented it would resolve itself! It's working fine now -- keep up the great work!
dmaxwell

It appears that the upstream data feed from NOAA is offline. This happens every now and then - we'll take a look to see if something else has changed.

This is one of my favorite weather widgets because it provides so much information on a single screen and is very accurate. However, since 8/19, it has been "stuck" on a point in time on that day and hasn't updated since.

This does not seem to be updating. Maybe it's just showing San Diego weather although I put in my city.

zipcode 66045 city is spelled wrong, it should be Lawrence
bradlevy

displays Laurence instead of Lawrence, KS for zip 66047.

Excellent, but please, please can we have pressure in millibars as an option? Thanks --mco
Variador47

I found the spot to change it under my Chumby and its works for me. All of the options happen in the same place where you delete, change the order, Ect. Try a different zipcode that is near you. Nearest airport would be a good bet.

This seems to be a Widget for San Diego only. I can't see anywhere to change its location.
