ORB TV Tuner
ORB TV Tuner(community developer)
|
Watch live TV on your Chumby using a TV Tuner card. Usage: Go to www.orb.com and follow account instructions for setting up your TV Tuner card with ORB. Once done, put your login and password in the widget configuration screen. Run the widget and enjoy live TV on the Chumby. Notes: You must have a TV Tuner card set up and working with the ORB software to watch TV. When the program guide first loads it may take a while depending on how many channels your provider has, so be patient.

Love the video. I'll have to take a look at why the digital info is coming in as undefined.

To clarify my last comment, this is only with the digital tuner that the channel names appear as "undefined)". It works fine with the analog tuner... Just for fun here is a (bad) video of CNN playing live on my Chumby after the debate tonight: http://dl.getdropbox.com/u/118296/Orb%20on%20Chumby_CNN%20live_9_26_2008.wmv

BTW, I'm currently watching KPIXDT, that's great. I also tested with another account where I have an analog TV tuner and it works great too. One issue in the TV program guide is that the channel names show as "undefined)", not sure what causes that, that shows up correctly in http://mycast.orb.com

develephant, like for iTVs and iRadios, it's much better to present only the favorite channels on the Chumby. One just has to go to http://mycast.orb.com to define the favs, and they'll show up right on the Chumby! Thanks for doing yet another Orb widget!

You're right--changed from digital cable lineup to analog, and that made the difference. thx for developing!

tyheyn - You probably have too many channels, and the data is too much for the Flash plugin. I am working on an alternative.

Anybody get this to work yet? I get to the point of "Building Program Guide" and then the app. freezes up a bit and the Chumby does so sort of soft reboot.
