Configure IP Manually
If you want your chumby to obtain a static IP address, enter the additional information.
Step 1. Enter IP.
IPs are four numbers less than 256, separated by periods. Example: 192.168.1.104

Step 2. Enter netmask.
A netmask looks like an IP, but typically has 255 in the first few sections. 255.255.255.0 is probably what you'll need to use.

Step 3. Enter IP of network gateway.
A gateway may have numbers similar to the first few sections of your IP. For instance, if your IP is 192.168.1.104, your gateway might be something like 192.168.1.1.

Step 4. Enter IP of primary DNS.
The IP of your primary DNS may have numbers similar to the first few sections of your IP. For instance, if your IP is 192.168.1.104, your primary DNS might be something like 192.168.5.12.

Step 5. Enter IP of secondary DNS.
The IP of your secondary DNS is often quite different from that of your primary DNS or IP, but has a similar format of four numbers separated by periods. If you don't have a secondary DNS, just use the same IP as the primary DNS.

Now that you've entered the static IP address, return to the previous page to confirm your settings and finish connecting.
