unencrypted network

Your chumby detected a wireless network that is not encrypted. Follow the instructions below to finish connecting to your wireless network.

Step 1. Choose the IP allocation method.

Automatic: The majority of home set-ups use this automatic or "dynamic" method in which devices are automatically assigned an IP address upon start-up. (Like a guest at a hotel is assigned a room number for a certain amount of time, each dynamic network is assigned an IP address for a certain amount of time. The fact that the IP addresss may change is no problem, just as long as your chumby knows this might happen.) Most home networks are set up to use automatic IP allocation.

Manual: Choose this if you're using a static IP address. You'll be prompted to enter the additional required information. If you know very little about your wireless set-up, it's doubtful you'll need to select this option. Details on manual IP allocation.

Step 2. Confirm settings.

The "Confirm settings" screen shows the information for the network you selected (the information shown on the screen will depend on your set-up). Tap OK to continue or Back to select another connection.
