important tip on connecting a chumby one

If this is the first time you're connecting a chumby one to your network, do it in the same room where the access point is located. This helps ensure a good signal strength so your chumby one can get connected and check for software updates. If you're asked to install an update, you should do it immediately so your chumby one has the most up-to-date software (which may include important network connectivity improvements). Once you've installed the update, you can then move your chumby one to another location in your home or office.

Where can I buy chumby one?

You can purchase chumby one through chumby's online store at store.chumby.com. chumby one can be shipped to the US, UK, Germany, France, Spain, Italy and Portugal (shipping to Australia and Japan is not available at this time). See international sales for details.

Can I buy chumby one in Canada?

At this point in time, chumby industries cannot ship chumby ones or chumby classics to Canada due to legal restrictions. We are working towards making the chumby available in Canada, but cannot offer a specific timeline on when this might happen.

What type of battery does the chumby one use?

The chumby one uses a Fujifilm® NP-120, 3.7V, 1800 mAh battery or other equivalent battery having the same performance and safety features. See the battery page for more details.

Why can't I log in?

If you're trying to log into the chumby store, make sure you're at store.chumby.com and not at www.chumby.com.

Why won't my chumby connect to my wireless access point?

Why doesn't the touchscreen work?

  • If your touchscreen has the protective plastic covering on it, you'll need to remove it.
  • If your screen calibration is a little off, press the top center of the chumby to bring up the control panel. Tap Settings, and then tap Touchscreen to recalibrate your chumby. For the most accurate results, use a stylus or the tip of your fingernail (not the pad of your finger) during the calibration process.
  • If the touchscreen doesn't respond at all, try turning off your chumby and then turning it back on.

Why does a widget that I've removed from a channel keep reappearing?

You may see widgets on your chumby that you didn't put in your channel. These are added by chumby industries and content partners. Sharing these promotional widgets with you is how the chumby content stays free — no subscriptions to pay, no plans to sign up for. If you remove a promotional widget, it will be replaced. chumby industries is 100% dedicated to keeping your widget channels new, intriguing, fun and FREE.
